Supported Living Services:

New Dawn Support Services provides supported living to people in Del Norte county,

and consultation and training anywhere needed.

New Dawn Support Services provides Supported Living Services to individuals who are

referred to us by one of the 21 Regional Centers within the state of California. Our local

Regional Center is the Redwood Coast Regional Center. The goal of our services is the

create an environment in which people with disabilities have the opportunity to live the

lives that all of the rest of us get the opportunity to have. We are in their lives to support

them in understanding the world around them, as defined by their Individual Support

Plans (ISP’s), and implemented through their Person-Centered plans and descriptions.

NDSS provides a full range of support and services which are tailored around an

individuals unique support needs and how they want those needs met. New Dawn was

founded on the principles of Person-Centered Thinking and implements those concepts

not only to guide service delivery, but also organizational structure and action.

Supported Employment/Tailored Day Services:

Our mission at New Dawn Support Services Day Program is to provide skill, training, direction and support for people with disabilities in the arena of a Day Program in any manner that is reasonable and determined by the individual and their circle of support Our Day Service provides community based instruction for Reginal Center individuals. Our Day Service provides training as needed in: community access and integration, recreation/leisure, vocational/work, behavior management, and coping skills in natural community environments.​Our Sub-Mission is to use Person Centered tools in order to support persons in a way which maximizes learning and skill development while working towards the highest quality of life possible.

Crisis Response Service:

By utilizing the same principals outlined in Person Centered Thinking and Pro-ACT, New Dawn provides a service aimed at understanding the needs of an individual in crisis and assisting their circle of support in meeting those needs. All behavior is communication no matter the complexity. Understanding the communication in the ways it is presented and teaching new skills to cope and communicate in a more effective way is how New Dawn helps to minimize the risk of crisis.
